Unlike a written text, a visual text doesn’t state an explicit thesis or an explicit line of reasoning. When you outline a visual text, you must infer the meaning beneath the image’s surface and interpret its central point and supporting ideas from the elements of its design. A good approach is to define the purpose and list the key elements.
